True love. Here it is. Michael and Florence. These two first met in San Francisco back in 2006 when Florence boarded the city bus Michael was driving. And as it is explained on the Wish Upon A Wedding website, after seeing each other regularly on his route, Michael asked Florence for her phone number.  She finally took one of his calls after a little playing hard to get and they arranged their first date. Some romantic time alone over dinner on the wharf in San Francisco was all it took for these two to start falling in love. Michael interestingly enough proposed to Florence in Old Sacramento and during our engagement session, we got to go back to the very spot where Michael first slipped a diamond ring on Florence’s finger and asked her to be his wife.  We had a lot of fun during the photo shoot and these two were great to work with. Florence has a beautiful smile and Michael has a quiet but keen sense of humor so there was lots of smiling and laughing going on. Michael even let Florence step on his head a time or two. Now that's true love.

Zeke

I have to admit that sometimes my job photographing kids is too easy. How can you take a bad picture of a cute baby? You can't! Zeke easily proved this rule yesterday. He is also a very good natured boy and managed to put up with outfit changes, getting placed in baskets and rugs and having a room full of adults making all kinds of strange noises at him to get him to smile. And smile he did willingly and for almost 2 hours at that! Here are the photographs from yesterday's shoot. It was sooooo much fun and thanks to Zeke's Mom and Dad, Grandma and Aunties and Uncles for all the great help!

Danielle-Sweet Sixteen!

I have to say it has been a great week. All the brides and grooms-to-be that I've met this past week have all been absolute sweetie pies! I even learned a new phrase, "I'm soakin' what your spillin'" Love that!

I also had a chance to meet more people in the wedding photography business in Sacramento-Bay area lately and I've got to say it is wonderful to meet people so dedicated and in love with what they do. Of course, how can you not love spending time with people on the happiest day of their life photographing them when they are looking their best and in beautiful surroundings?

Anyway, without a doubt though, one of the best parts of this week was photographing Danielle for her Sweet 16 birthday this coming week. Danielle and her Mom Bobbi were so fun and we were working together like a well oiled machine. Danielle did a great job and was a trooper in the cold weather and Bobbi is a natural photographer's assistant/mind reader. We also got some assistance from younger brother Micah and Dad while taking photos, so definitely it was a team effort in yesterday's shoot. I also got a kick out of watching the family dog wrestle and play with one of the resident ducks at their home. I should have gotten some photos of that because some people apparently don't believe me about this

... :-)

So, here's photos from yesterday.

Merry Christmas from Stellasweet Photography

Here is wishing that we all get to share with our friends and family, a warm, peaceful holiday filled with love and laughter. A special thought goes out to those who have to be separated from family because of their work  responsibilities to their patients, to the communities they protect  or they country they serve.  And let us hope for a year of prosperity, of peace, of wisdom and of better caring for each other and the planet that sustains us. So, here we come 2010, and we're gonna make it shine!
